Dreamcatchers act as a talisman and can be used as a protective piece while you are sleeping. Hanging above your bed, the dreamcatcher can collect negative thoughts and dreams before they are able to enter your subconscious. The web entangles these negative energies, while the hole in the centre allows positive energies to flow through. I use as many natural items within my dreamcatchers, even making sure the threads used are either a natural cotton or hemp. In keeping with the natural theme, I often collect drift wood or gum to use as my frame, moving away from the traditional circular form. All the sticks and feathers used in my dreamcatchers are collected from nature (only collected from the ground). I also incorporate crystals as little amulets for protection, love and positive energies.
